Besgnulinux JWM 3-0 Latest Version

How to install Touchpad Indicator in Besgnulinux 3-0?

For touchpad indicator control, you can use the touchegg package, available in the Linux Mint repository, in Besgnulinux 3-0.

Touchegg software doesn't have a GUI interface. However, it runs in the background after installation. This way, you can control the touchpad.

If you need to use the Touchpad Indicator, in Besgnulinux 3-0, paste the following commands into the terminal, either all or one at a time, enter your password, and the necessary software for touchpad control will be installed on the system.

rm -rf /tmp/*.deb
cd /tmp
wget -nc http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/import/t/touchegg/touchegg_2.0.18+gigi_amd64.deb
wget -nc http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/import/t/touchegg/touchegg-dbgsym_2.0.18+gigi_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
echo y | sudo apt install -f

How to install Flatpak and Virtualbox on Besgnulinux 3-0?

In the next version of Besgnulinux, these tools will be installable via the "Third Party Software" tool.

If you want to install Flatpak and Virtualbox tools on Besgnulinux 0-3, follow the instructions below.

Virtualbox Install

To install Virtualbox, first download the deb package from the official website with the command below.

wget -c https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/7.2.0/virtualbox-7.2_7.2.0-170228~Debian~trixie_amd64.deb

Go to the directory where you downloaded the package. Right-click on a space in the same directory and open a terminal. Then, enter the following commands into the terminal, one by one, to install VirtualBox.

sudo dpkg -i virtualbox-7.2_7.2.0-170228~Debian~trixie_amd64.deb

echo y | sudo apt install -f

Flatpak Install

To install Flatpak, enter the following commands in the terminal one by one.

If you install the Flatpak software this way, you will also install the tool I made for Flatpak, which you can see in the image below.

sudo apt install flatpak -y
sudo cp -rf /usr/local/share/kur/flat/flatpakrun.desktop /usr/share/applications
sudo cp -rf /usr/local/share/kur/flat/flatpak.desktop /usr/share/applications
sudo cp -rf /usr/local/share/kur/flat/flatpak-man /usr/local/bin
sudo cp -rf /usr/local/share/kur/flat/flatpak-run /usr/local/bin
sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

You can use these commands even if you've already installed Flatpak. The tool in the image below is for installing and removing Flatpak packages, updating the repository, and running software built with Flatpak.

Let's learn about Besgnulinux tools

Besgnulinux tools are generally graphical user interface (GUI) tools developed with the Yad software. Some of these tools are front-ends to useful software. They are adapted for the JWM environment to meet general needs and be lightweight. This is especially necessary considering that graphical user interface (GUI) software is not widely available for lightweight sessions. Furthermore, because these tools do not run in the background, they are completely under the user's control, making them well-suited for lightweight systems.

I hope this topic will help inform those using Besgnulinux.

Let me briefly explain the functions of the Besgnulinux tools and how they work.

Window Controls

The Window Controls tool, as seen in the image below, is used to manage JWM's transparency and windows. The operations performed in this tool apply to all windows.

Besgnulinux JWM 3-0 release based on Debian Trixie (stable) is ready for release.

Changes made in this version

The background image changer has been updated. A color changer feature has been added to the image manager. The Grub manager has been made simpler and easier to use. Two more features have been added to the "Enable tools" tool and its interface has been changed. Added menu controls to the "Manage panels" tool. A separate tool was made for JWM opacity. A new tool has been made to change the window title buttons or color. It has been made available to be used with JWM to change the icon and system theme color. The loading of the system menu and the creation of the local language at the opening have been made extremely fast, within 2 seconds. In addition to the usual software, a few useful programs have been added.

Because the Brave browser took too long to open, its base browser, Chromium, was made the default.

The touchpad driver hasn't been found yet, so it hasn't been added. However, you can download and install the package from here: http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/import/t/touchegg/touchegg_2.0.16+faye_amd64.deb

Third-party software like VirtualBox and Flatpak can't yet be installed from the "Third-party software" tool. However, you can install Flatpak using the command line or Synaptic. When Virtualbox is updated to be compatible with Debian 13, you can install it, but not for now.

Due to some errors in the latest version of Pcmanfm, tasks such as file moving and file compression have been performed separately and added to the right-click context menu.

Additionally, the version number type has changed. From now on, it will be in the form of x-0. The first digit determines the main version number, while the second digit indicates any possible interim version.

Besgnulinux 02-09 64bit and 32bit ready to use

System information

Based on: Debian Bookworm (stable)

Version number: 02-09_0

DE: JWM

WM: JWM

Processor architecture: 64bit & 32bit

Disk usage: average 8 GB

Ram usage: average 250 MB

Kernel: 6.1.0-37-amd64 & 6.1.0-37-686-pae

Icon theme: bes-icon

System theme: bes-theme-dark

Installer: Calamares

Grub installation: UEFI and BIOS

What has been done in this version?

The Dockbar, which I adapted with JWM's own panel to use the tools faster, is active.

Apart from the Dockbar, you can also add icons to the Favorites menu that I adapted from the on-screen menu.

I adapted the exit tool from the screen menu again, so it looks nicer.

Desktop files have been created for Besgnulinux tools. This way you can use them from both the system menu and the screen menu.

Added different tasks to the default icons on the panel with left-right clicks.

Frequency information has also been added to the screen resolution tool.

Database feature was added to the search tool except for normal search.

The "activating vehicles" tool has been made more stable and some additional tasks have been added.

Xbindkeys, adapted for adding and removing keys.

The 'Window Controls' tool has been adapted both personally and generally.

The "startup settings" tool was rearranged.

The problem in the "Create Masasutu File" tool has been fixed.

The default application tool has been revamped. You can visually change tools with one click.

Added two large conky configurations for Conky, left and right. Large conky's are a bit too resource intensive, so I don't recommend them on weak machines.

The system theme and appearance are dominated by electric-indigo color. All colors are harmonious and look more pleasant.

You can change it to the color you want with the "Change theme color" tool.

80 images have been added to your choice for the background. You can change the background image with a single click using the "Change background" tool.

Since the language translation of the tools was prepared in advance, the language translation was reduced to a very short time.

Many more operations were performed, some small errors were corrected and some small changes were made.

External Information

- If you have installed an EFI on a disk, install EFI for other sections. If you have installed Bios, set up bios in other sections.

Your disk must be shaped as GPT for EFI installation.

- You should select Bios or UEFI from the Bios screen, the first screen of the computer.

- Installation with Calamares is easy. Set the disk section where you will install the system as "/".

For UEFI section, format it as FAT32 in size of 500 MB. Then make the top option "Boot/Efi", marking the bottom option as "boot".

- After arriving in the session, use the "Adjust Screen Resolution" tool for screen resolution.

- Feel free to mix the system. Even if something goes wrong, you can re -installation.

Besgnulinux 02-09 version was prepared as a result of both 64 bit and 32-bit meticulous work. It was ready for use on all old-new computers, fast, useful and determined. Therefore, do not discard the old or weak computers, revive it with Besgnulinux.
